I.A.L.T find the perimeter and area of shapes The perimeter is the distance around the outside of a shape. To find the perimeter you add all of the measurements together. 4 cm 7 cm p=7+4+4=15 cm The area is the distance on the inside of a shape. To find the area of a shape you need to times the length and the width.
