I show our school CARE value COMMUNITY by picking up rubbish outside and playing nicely with other people and smiling back to people when they smile at me.

I show our school CARE value Active Thinking by thinking if someone else is on the bars will I go or will I wait.

I show our school CARE value Respect by respecting the equipment at school and other people’s property.

I show our school CARE value Excellence by doing my best work.

My reading goals

IALT: develop my reading comprehension skills Recently I took an asTTle reading test. I read a number of texts and answered a range of questions to check my understanding and comprehension. The aim is to take a test at a level where I will make some errors so that I can identify what I need to work on to be a more successful reader. I have looked at the results of my test and identified 3 goals for this term. My reading goals are: [1] Consistently read to understand the meaning of a text [2] Make a conclusion or an assumption [3] Know what different words mean # 1 and 2 are about understanding the text, especially by thinking about the text more ‘deeply’. # 3 is about developing my vocabulary and being able to use the information around a difficult word to make sense of it. You can help me with [1] and [2] by asking me about the book I am reading at home; about the characters, setting, plot and resolution (fiction) Get me to explain why I believe

Learner Qualities: Empathise and Communicate Empathise: Share at least 3 example of how you have shown empathy recently. Add a photo if you can. When Lillian tipped the picture into the paint I told her it was okay. Lillian got string stuck in her hair, I helped her get it out. When Claudia was lonely I played with her. Communicate:   Share at least 3 examples of how you have communicated in different ways this term. Add photos if you can. Dania and I were doing our diorama and we communicated by telling each other what we would do on our diorama. For Integrated Learning I took our poster home so I could finish it.   Putting my hand up in Reading, Writing and Maths to share my answers and ideas with others.
