Learner Qualities: Empathise and Communicate

Image
Learner Qualities: Empathise and Communicate Empathise: Share at least 3 example of how you have shown empathy recently. Add a photo if you can. When Lillian tipped the picture into the paint I told her it was okay. Lillian got string stuck in her hair, I helped her get it out. When Claudia was lonely I played with her. Communicate:   Share at least 3 examples of how you have communicated in different ways this term. Add photos if you can. Dania and I were doing our diorama and we communicated by telling each other what we would do on our diorama. For Integrated Learning I took our poster home so I could finish it.   Putting my hand up in Reading, Writing and Maths to share my answers and ideas with others.

Did you go through the process on your own or collaborate with other people? I was collaborating with Daphne. How did you find the process? A little difficult because you had to find a lot of words that rhymed. What did you enjoy most about the process of creating a rap? Collaborating and finding words to rhyme. What might be your next step? Make it more interesting. I wake up on Monday, Pretending to be sick, ‘Cause everyday on my way to school, You push me into the ditch. You pass rumours around, and push me to the ground, you throw me into the school pool, you think you’re just so cool! I’ve told the teacher many times, But all the bully does is lie! I have to fake the flu to get away from you.  Why do you taunt me and haunt me? by Daphne and Jordyn

What is this for ? We created a poster because we thought people were putting their rubbish into the wrong bin. So we decided to show people what rubbish goes in what bin. What we did ? We got three posters and did three of the main rubbish bins (recycling, rubbish and fruit bin) and put what does and doesn't go in the bin.

WALT: Solve division problems that have remainders.                                                                  What’s the goal? Solve division problems that have remainders. What did I learn to do? To divide problems that have remainders in them like 60 divided by 7. What is the solution? How many cars can I wash in an hour? I can wash one car every seven minutes, so how many 7s go into 60, 8 with a remainder of 4 minutes, so your answer is 8 r 4. What is my next step? To do harder division problems that have remainders. WALT: Use multiplication and division. What’s the goal? Use multiplication and division. What did I learn to do? Every year on from one you add 4 years in human years. What is my next step? To be able to solve more difficult multiplication and division problems.
