I was collaborating with Daphne.
How did you find the process?
A little difficult because you had to find a lot of words that rhymed.
What did you enjoy most about the process of creating a rap?
Collaborating and finding words to rhyme.

What might be your next step?
Make it more interesting.
I wake up on Monday,
Pretending to be sick,
‘Cause everyday on my way to school,
You push me into the ditch.
You pass rumours around, and push me to the ground, you throw me into the school pool, you think you’re just so cool!
I’ve told the teacher many times,
But all the bully does is lie!

I have to fake the flu to get away from you.  Why do you taunt me and haunt me?

My reading goals

IALT: develop my reading comprehension skills Recently I took an asTTle reading test. I read a number of texts and answered a range of questions to check my understanding and comprehension. The aim is to take a test at a level where I will make some errors so that I can identify what I need to work on to be a more successful reader. I have looked at the results of my test and identified 3 goals for this term. My reading goals are: [1] Consistently read to understand the meaning of a text [2] Make a conclusion or an assumption [3] Know what different words mean # 1 and 2 are about understanding the text, especially by thinking about the text more ‘deeply’. # 3 is about developing my vocabulary and being able to use the information around a difficult word to make sense of it. Maths term 2

We are learning to use directions. We can do this when we can give and follow directions using the points of a compass - North, South East and West. Room 2 went outside and did a treasure hunt in pairs. One person hid the treasure. They then had to give their partner instructions to find it. E.g 2 steps north... It was a fun way to practice what we had been learning in class. Our next learning step is to identify and use other directions such as north-east, south-west etc.
